Rules

  1. Double six poses at all times. The referee will call for double six and will indicate the game is in session. Play begins immediately after. Players must wait for dominos to be placed before playing another.
  2. Both hands must be kept below the table while the game is in session. One hand will be brought above the table when a player is about to play, otherwise the game is defaulted.
  3. Players must play within ten seconds or the game will be awarded to the opposing team. The referee will begin to count down immediately after the domino is played. The ten seconds covers the entire play.
  4. Once a domino is placed on the table and the player's hand comes off of it, the player cannot touch the domino a second time. If this happens, the game will be awarded to the opposing team.
  5. The domino must be placed in the box provided and the referee will place the domino to its destination.
  6. If a player comes above the table with more than one domino in his/her hand, the game will be awarded to the opposing team.
  7. If a player passes with a domino when it is his/her turn to play, the player would have defaulted the game to his/her opponent. Players must indicate a pass by knocking in consecutive order with a closed fist.
  8. When the game is blocked and both teams have an identical count, the team that played last is considered to have blocked the game and would have lost the game. After playing the game to its entirety, the referee must request players to bring their hands up and place their dominos on the table, count the partners' dominos together, and declare the winner.
  9. The first player to dispose of all of his/her dominos is the winner of the game. A team can also win or lose via blocking the game.
  10. There is absolutely no talking by the players while the game is in session, except for asking for time out from the referee. Players may not ask for more than one time out per game unless the referee considers any additional time out a case of emergency. Hands must not be raised when asking for time out, just indicate verbally. There is three minutes allotted for team time out and can be called by any player. Only one team time out permitted per game.
  11. No game will be disrupted by both players leaving the table at the same time. Only if it is a team time out, substitution, or in the case of an emergency will the players be allowed to leave the table. Otherwise, the team forfeits the game.
  12. Players are not allowed to scratch, sneeze, swat, cough, or jump up to use the restroom. These are considered emergencies and one must ask the referee for time to rid oneself of any ailments. In the event players would like to wear a cap or tam due to minor ailments, permission must be granted. Failing to act without receiving prior approval, the game will be forfeited. When caps are worn, they must be worn backwards.
  13. Whenever the referee asks the question of where you wish your domino to be placed, the first response given by the player stands. No other instruction will be accepted. Should the player attempt to change his/her mind, the game will be forfeited. Pointing is not permitted. Should this occur, the game will be awarded to the opponents.
  14. Whenever there are an uneven number of teams registered to play, the League would revert to one division. Teams would then play against each other five (5) or more times depending on the number of teams registered. Playoff with one division would be the top four teams. First (1st) will play fourth (4th) and second (2nd) will play third (3rd).
  15. Players will lose games by default for eating and smoking in the players' circle. Drinking is permitted in between games.
  16. All cell phones must be completely off or on vibrate. In the case of an emergency, the player may ask for a substitute player to take his/her place.
  17. Whenever a game is being disputed, a dispute form accompanied by a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) must be completed and submitted to the league commissioner within forty-eight (48) hours by the team captain or team representative. However, if the dispute can be resolved on the game night, the fee is eliminated.
  18. While the game is in session only one representative will be permitted in the players' circle. The referees will indicate where the representative is to stand. There must be no body language or indication regarding a play from the representative observing the game while it is being played. The referees will issue a warning should this occur and if it persists, a decision will be made to remove/replace the observer.
  19. Any team losing three games by default will be out automatically for the season.
  20. Standings will be made available to the captain of each team at the beginning of each week.
  21. The rules and bye-laws supersede any decision made by the referees.
